If nothing helps, you may try extreme ways of turning the engine off. Apply the parking brake, set the shifter to N, and open the hood. When shifting to park, press, and hold: for the duration of the entire stroke, the trigger button while you are shifting to park. Don't just throw the shifter into position super fast. A lot of people seem to want to do it in the .250 - .400 second range. Try .750 seconds.
