Helicopter controls arma 3.
I cant seem to decent like in a normal helicopter to dop behind them slowly, like I can in DCS World. Maybe I am just not cut out to fly Arma 3 helios. Using AFM or standard? Advanced flight model lets you cut the throttle immediately to 0 to drop like a rock, bit of balance and you can nail it using standard?

The control over the helicopter is insane if you learn AFM. BFM teaches you that throttle doesn't matter, in AFM throttle matters at every speed even you are flying straight. It takes far more concentration and skill to fly AFM. I would say 95% of AFM players are worse than a good BFM pilot.

Pitch/roll on mouse, W/S as collective pitch or throttle or whatever they use to go up and down, A/D for rudder. Personally, I couldn't stand the way Battlfield configured their helicopters control. I had to go into arma 3's options to configure it to Arma 2's lay out. However I plan on getting a joystick for air vehicle control.

You need to maintain a vertical airspeed anywhere from -1 to -15 m/s, and your airspeed must be somewhere below about 20 km/h. Any faster and you'll risk damaging the hull or the instrumentation. Of course any faster than that can cause catastrophic damage to the heli.
