It's 75 weight either way, the 110 and 140 denotes the protection of the additive package as the oil is heated up to 100 celsius (acts like a thicker oil 110 weight or 140 weight). In the heat of the summer in our area, the 140 shouldn't hurt anything. '02 1800C and '79 XS1100SF.

It's easy to change, and besides the fact I rode the bike to warm it up for the engine oil and filter change, my hands are already dirty anyway. No matter what brand of oil/lube you buy, it's still cheaper than the oil wetted parts it protects. Share.
Apr 9, 2011 · What Fram filter fits the VTX 1300? The local dealer is out of Honda Filters and I want to do my oil change tomorrow vs waiting a week. Local Wally World did not have the VTX 1300 on its charts. I picked up the Rotella T 6 as usual and want to do this as part of the normal spring tune-up. Thanks, Doug

+1 to everything mentioned. The 1800s don't mention any oil change in manual till 4k miles. The 1300s want you in for that 600 mile service. Go till 600 miles, do your own dino oil change with filter. Hit 4k and go synthetic. Don't want to mention any brands of the stuff. Lots and lots and lots of oil/filter stuff here.

This does NOT mean it has to be 10W-30. It should probably be around that weight/viscosity but does not have to be exactly that.
