Typically I prefer to jack up the car from the sides though; I don't mind having to take the extra time if it means I feel more confident about the jacking points that I'm using. Like. Insert the jack lever and attach the wheel brace to tyre jack. Turn the jack handle clockwise and raise the vehicle high enough so that the spare tyre can be installed. Ok, according to the workshop manual, you're supposed to drive the car onto 3/4 inch thick boards (front wheels only) and place the jack at the center of the front crossmember (just behind the engine, first pic) and the center of the rear crossmember (where the suspension comes together, second pic) and place the safety stands under the normal tire-change jack points at the side sills.
