Mine does work and I do have an opener that has WiFi on it and it connects to my Google WiFi mesh. In my old home I had the hub solution also working with my Google WiFi but the hub was hard wired to one of the Google pucks. Make sure you don't have WPA3 enabled. MyQ isn't able to authenticate over that protocol.
