You need to clean the filter head rub it dry. I take the seal off the filter an rub completly with fresh oil an stick oring back on filter inside of the grooves an screw it on. That's the best way I use to only rub the top an screw on but found out this way is a thousand times better. It doesnt leak much, but you can see blue smoke especially at startup. As Calvin said, drain the oil so the area will be a bit cleaner and you're not fighting the oil trying to escape. Clean up the outside of the hole carefully for better holding and seal. The Power Master for the Power Stroke Engine is the same starter as the one for the IDI Engine. Only difference is a spacer for the Power Stroke. Take off the spacer and it works for the IDI. Exact same Starter. Power Master 9050 = IdI Engine. Power Master 9051 = Power Stroke Engine. Its not very long. Install the jets before you attempt installing the pistons. Those bolts are a special grade bolt too. Do not use a home depot bolt. Injector fouling is less of a problem since there is one spray hole, and the pre-cup design stays hotter. I have read about the issues with two batteries wired in parallel "fighting" each other and surmised that an isolator or single battery would fix this issue. If the post you picked is the one for the range the DNE-2 is in, nothing will happen. If the DNE-2 was in the other range you will hear the motor pulling the shift mechanism.
