Syncing data for call of duty taking forever.

Recently it is taking well over an hour to sync Genius Data to my iPad over WIFI and with the USB cable (although not as long with the WIFI cable). I synced it and it synced Genius data for over 2,000 songs. I synced again 5 minutes lated an it synced genius data for over 900 songs. What's going on?
