Dual Wield feat is more suited to strength martials who took Two Weapon Fighting style so they can have two heavier weapons like longswords. Although the +1 armour is always nice and dual rapiers are good. Sussur dagger is a good off hand weapon for Astarion, he can dual dash to the other end of the battlefield and silence a pesky mage.
Encountered a bug with the Dual Wielder feat not adding the +1 AC. Tried with two light weapons, a light weapon and one not light weapon and too non light weapons. None of these add the +1 AC bonus.
