I want to quickly mention that the only difference between the Glock 43X MOS and the G48 MOS is the length of the slide. The G48 is longer. The optics footprint for both is exactly the same so all the optics and adapter plates mentioned in this article will fit both the G48 and G43X the same. What footprint is the Glock 43X MOS and G48 MOS?I was going to trade my 43x for a 43x MOS. I sent the slide off for milling and I'm very happy with the results. Adapter plates are another point of failure. C&H does a great job with plates and the FN 509 plates are GTG in my experience. Glock MOS plates are problematic. G43x can get a 14rd extended mag, the G26 can handle a 17rd magazine. Both have same barrel length. The stock 43x is taller than stock G26. Weight is about the only advantage the g43x has. The 48MOS is now my favorite Glock, and I can always toss the 43X slide on it if I want something a little more compact. The MOS slides are the only ones you can have milled for an RMRCC while keeping the rear dovetail. That's a win. The non-MOS slim frames (except for 42/43) are kind of superfluous and a waste, imo.The 43X does exist in MOS but I hear varying reports on how well optics mount to it and it too is practically unobtainium. Shield arms mags can get your capacity to a whopping 20 as well. I run a G43 upper (slide, barrel, and recoil spring assembly) on a G43X MOS frame for the exact same reasons.I wanted an accessory rail and no front serrations.
