It might be that what you really need is a good powder measure, like a Uniflow by RCBS. Then you don't need to weigh every charge. A good powder like 231 won't vary more than 1/10th of a grain, weigh every 20th drop. Most powders won't vary any more than that. I wouldn't hesitate looking at a used 1911 either, it was pre-covid purchase but my last 1911 was a slightly used stainless Sig Sauer for Just under $700.
