It might be a little messy, but its better than draining all the oil.

I think a 750 takes alittle over 3 quarts, my 600 takes just under 3 quarts, I change the filter each time. Anywhere on the window with the bike level is pretty good decent to start off, before riding the bike it needs to be at the top of the window for the most part.
