2000 f150 theft light flashing.
Flashing Theft light was back this morning, but codes were d147 and d262, both indicating something wrong with the PATS communication. This may be a wiring issue or a connector needing resetting. I've had the instrument cluster out for re-soldering a pin that made the odometer go blank, and that was a few years ago.

Hey guys, I have an 01 f150. The other day it started to die so I stopped and shut it off. long story short a spark plug worked its way loose, I put it back in and it will not start. the theft light is flashing fast. its not showing any codes either. I heard it could be the PATS system. Any help please

It could be a faulty circuit board or connector in the dash if the speedo is going off and affecting the PATS receiver. Best way to tell about the code is to turn the ignition on when a no start occurs and let it set for several minutes and watch the Theft lamp for the code after the receiver does it diagnostics.
