Looking at this Horizon Fitness treadmill, you'll see how when inclined, there's still a frame on the front part that's on the ground. If you have an Apple Watch, the peloton app still saves all your stats with the treadmill workout - pace, distance, HR, etc. Obviously no leaderboard, but I find the speed/distance to be close enough between my watch and the treadmill that I’m happy using my treadmill that was ~$1500 when purchased.

My treadmill doesn’t send metrics to peloton app. But I do wear the armband and send HR to the peloton app. I then see the HR on screen during the class on my phone, just the way I see the metrics on peloton bike screen. Just want to figure an easy way, if possible to have speed/distance metrics seen on the peloton app too.

I love the Peloton workouts on my standard treadmill. I am up to 4 a week. I love them! I do think that my treadmill increases and decreases the incline slower than the instructors Peloton tread but it doesn’t effect me much.

Woodway treadmills are not good for long distance runners. Woodways are designed for heavy duty commercial use in like Crossfit gyms were you've got heavier folks belting out all out sprints and you have tons of people using them.
