The closest thing you'll get to an alternative playstyle for Scout now is FaN, cleaver, and wrap assassin. Very fun loadout that changes a lot of how you play. You're more hit and run, and you get rewarded much more by utilising more skill than an average Scout (two projectile weapons and mastering FaN movement mechanics after all). The usual pyro loadout.
