Temp light comes on and immediately after the fuel injection light comes on and the engine seems to go into a "limp" mode. The fan runs and the coolant level is where it is supposed to be. I assume it will not be as effective as the $400 system that connects to the hot water, however, it will be much cheaper and easier to install (and not have to deal with headaches of bleeding coolant).

Disconnect your battery, unplug the reg/rect. and connect your meter (set to ohms) red lead to any of the three wires that go to the stator, black lead to frame ground.
