I have a 2012 Kia Sorento LX and there was recently a lot of rain in my area, and with the rain came a water leak on the driver side in the front. I couldn't trace it back but i believe its coming from the door seal considering only the floor is wet.My Steps –. 1. Put the wipers in the up position and turn the car off. - ***Important –mark the wiper position with tape or grease marker to install back in the correct position. 2. Pop off the wiper retention nut cover. 3. Remove the retention nuts with socket (sorry didn’t note socket sizes…) 4.Right, after abit more digging around I've found two things.. 1) Water in the trunk seems to be dripping down the power outlet, passenger side. 2) Water at the front - took off the fuse box cover and it's soaked. Found it leaking from the water pump area on the passenger side by where the bottom of the auto tensioner sticks out from the bottom timing belt cover. I removed everything and changed the water pump, timing belt, tensioner and pully (1st timing belt job. Made easy by this forum (Thanks). I used RTV sealant on the water pump gasket.
