Apr 9, 2006 · Received 14 Likes on 14 Posts. Torque Converter Shudder Fix Update. I recently had a problem with torque converter "shudder" Folks, it ain't the converter that does it. It's the control solenoid, valve or whatever controls it. I added a bottle of Lucas Transmission treatment a month or so ago. The shudder stopped immediately.
