The BRN barrel is thin with the ⅝" gas block. That leaves little to no barrel for a shoulder for the muzzle device. Alright so I recently got a PSA KS-47 upper from my guy. The gen2 lowers look similar to milspec lower other than the mag well. I had a build kit and H1 buffer weight laying around and went to work. PSAs website specifically says “The KS-47 G2 upper will not work with a standard AR-15 lower." Challenge accepted, there gen2 lowers are not cheap.

It's small and compact, but tames recoil and muzzle blast a bit without weighing down the front of the barrel. I don't like a lot of heavy stuff hanging on the front of my rifle. Lol.
