Before would just sputter Has1280 hours on it Will do it if mowing or even just driving with no PTO on This year changed both fuel filters That didn’t help Changed the fuel pump underneath. Reason is that this BX has had many stoppages and partly plugged fuel filters and the most recent stoppage was at 20 hours on new filters, with a half filled tank. First check the connections on your battery. Also the other end of the ground cable to the engine. Don't just look at them. Remove, clean and retighten. This is if you do not have a weak battery. If so recharge and try again. Or you can try jumping with another battery. I'd bet my money on a poor connection. The clicking you hear is the solenoid.

About one month ago it started to stop turning the mower after about two hours use. After setting for a few minutes it would then be able to resume mowing. To properly check a glow plug (it is basically a resistor) you want to disconnect the wire to each one. Select the lowest resistance scale on the meter (like 100 ohms) and read resistance from plug lug to engine block. REading should be VERY low ohms (like under 50, and as low as 10). I know it is a big deck for the 24 hp but if it can't handle it, then they should not sell it! I sometimes will mow a while with the hood open to keep the temp from creeping even closer to the red zone.

It would generally idle OK, but if you pushed in the pedal after running for a while, it would bog down and stop. It got ridiculously bad this past summer.
