Ruger security 9 slide stuck.
The safety on the SEC 9 pivots from the front of the safety so you have to push up and down on the rear of the lever to engage it. To put the safety on use your support hand because you're done shooting and it doesn't matter which hand you use. Don't try to be mr.cool like the gun reviewers it's ok to use two hands.
Aug 21, 2021 · Problems with Max 9. Today was the second time I was able to take my new Max 9 out to the range. The first time I did, the slide wasn't able to return to battery via slingshoting it. Also, just after firing a box of range rounds, the plastic takedown gate completely broke off causing the slide to get stuck back after almost every shot. Remember the grip safety, if not depressed, will keep an XD locked shut. Hit it several times to free the stuck cartridge from the gun.

Lately it's been 2-3 times per mag which is pretty bad. I was shooting factory Blazer Brass 115's and 124's as well as my reloads and the problem persisted no matter what ammo I used. Security six stuck cylinder. I have a security six here that functions fine when unloaded but frequently sticks after firing. When pulling the trigger or hammer back it will get a bit to quite stuck (in the part of the trigger pull when the cylinder is still rotating). The factory rear sight will be bagged and returned with your slide. This service is for the Ruger Security 9 model Slide. Single Color Cerakote is required with this service and Black is free. Optic Cut Service is only available on the Security 9 model slides. Optic cuts are located to the rear of the slide and the factory rear sight is removed.But it has a hammer, which in my opinion is a good thing. But the Security 9 is a very functional pistol. The Ruger Security 9 is my first "Hammer Style" semi auto pistol. With the advertised "95% cocked hammer" it has me second guessing carrying loaded without the safety engaged. 13 years of daily carry, and you haven't shot yourself yet is a pretty good track record.
