Got around to running some AAC 77gr SMKs today and was pleasantly surprised with a 5-shot .561 MOA with a Larue 16". My plain Colt A4 with milspec trigger shot a 1.21. 1. It uses the Sierra 77 grain SMK. 2. It has staked and sealed primers. 3. It is 5.56 pressure. A load that is slower from a 22" barrel bolt gun than MK262 is from a 16" barrel AR15 is just not even close to an alternative. At least IMI and AAC SMK specific loads are actually 5.56 loads and not mild .223 loads.
