I focused on health first to get the master sword. The master sword isn't really all that great before you upgrade it, so stam is where it's at for me. Maybe stam until 2 wheels then 2 hearts then 3rd wheel of stam and then fill hearts as much as possible. I went 1 health, 2 stamina, health till 13 hearts, stamina till max, then hearts.

The maximum amount of Hearts you can have is 40, and the maximum amount of Stamina that you can have is three full wheels. Unfortunately, you won't be able to have both of these resources filled to the max. You will only be able to choose one that you want to fully max out.
