So my questions are if there are enough benefits to using someone like Interactive Brokers over TD Ameritrade. I mean on average the cost of using Interactive Brokers is around $100-$300 a day in commissions for me win or lose however it is very hard to quantify how much I might be saving by having better control over my executions.
TOS is getting worse with downtime, software issues and so on. If you're just starting out TD Ameritrade but there are a lot of nice options with interactive brokers. TOS has a 2-3second lag on option prices. TOS definitely has tons of lag. There platform is built on top of TD Ameritrade’s platform. No direct access to exchanges. Have IB and Fidelity.
