So the switch was replaced and so far so good.I have a 07 Honda Element AWD. my problem is that every couple of weeks to couple of months I get a P0420 and then shortly afterwords I get a P2646 rocker arm actuator oil control valve stuck on/off code. I didn't think the two were related at first. I put some cat-a-clean in it and that fixed the p0420 for a while. I called a friend who happens to specialize in Hondas and he suggested that I clean the screen that is located in the same housing as the VTEC Oil Pressure Switch and Solenoid. The screen is designed to stop debris from getting into the Solenoid and VTEC Oil Pressure Switch. Here is what has been done: Honda OEM vtec spool assembly replaced.
