The planes ranges from 71" up through 123" and could be found in all classes. Desert Aircraft is proud to announce its latest engine, the DA 120. The DA 120 uses the same motor mount pattern as the DA 100 and is .25” shorter from the mount to the prop hub and only 3/8” wider from plug cap to plug cap. It's virtually a drop in replacement for anyone currently using a DA 100 that wants to change to the new 120.The engine's standard plug is a Chinese L7T plug, it seems to be a little on the hot side for the engine. The installation of the VVRC 40cc twin required a few custom parts. Cody Wojcik was kind enough to design some inlet baffles. I designed an inlet opening template, cowl exit lip, and lower cowl scoop to clear the carb.

However reading all sorts of forums and info sources before made me aware of the necessary modifications that needed to be done - landing gear issues, tailwheel issues, wing struts issues, too short a cowling, etc. It really looks like the vietnemese guys made the important points weakened instead of strenghtened. Nevertheless I don't mind ...The included retracts with the Phoenix Models Spitfire are all-metal CNC heavy-duty! Large hard foam wheels, a nice tailwheel and all of the basics for your air retract system are included. 2 metal wing tubs and long control rods for the elevators. The bottom rear of the fuselage has a nice hatch for tailwheel access.
