Heartland is terrible. heartland Express don't care about drivers they recruit,they charge u to get advance on comdata when comdata don't charge. They have no prepass,they don't pay tolls,. All their loads are the most 350 miles and if u go home every weekend your screwed. They are terrible.

They did payroll well, an electronic pay stub was sent to me on Thursday, and was paid on Friday. Don't waste Ur time working for them. They give yearly contracts. After they use you.They won't extend the contract. Worked there for a year and 3 months on avg at least one person gets kicked per month . It's super sad seeing such talented people getting kicked. I've been working with us express for about a year and some change now. The loads were good, pay was alright (.54) i ran hard as I could. only made about 62k last year. But recently did something that I shouldn't, ended up getting fired.Recruiters will lie to you. They will say you cleared everything and before you finish orientation they will disqualify you. You will have to leave the motel room they rented and leave you with no way home. And will not give you any reimbursement they agreed to either.

Western Express and Werner are my choices, now. I haven't found any positive reviews on Western's flatbed division, or any positive about them.
