Ninjatrader and Tradovate are two complete different systems. Let me explain NInjatrader is a locally runned program. Meaning it runs on your computer, where as tradovate is a web based application so it runs on the web. The one thing that ninjatrader has over tradovate is that it allows you to pretty much connect to any broker of your choice.For higher volume traders, I think that Tradovate offers a great deal. Suppose you create a high-frequency trading system that attempts to scalp single ticks all day long, you could go with Tradovate and pay absolutely no commissions or data fees — only $199 per month. Unlimited trades. And I know that Tradovate uses CQG.

tradovate is what i like the most is so straightforward, the biggest drawback is that you cant manage multiple accounts as seamlessly as you can on ninja. Tradovate is also our recommendation. I think managing multiple accounts will be better in the future with Tradovate, since Tradovate is now part of NinjaTrader.
