For fishing small water in an ultra lite fashion it would be a sweet rod with action similar to today’s Winston B3X. In fact, you might check to see if you can get a 2wt B3X on sale that in my opinion, approximates the flex and action of the Sage 389. I have 2 B3X’s and really like them. My 2 cents.
