The railway is literally 200 meters away from where the cruise ship will dock, assuming there's only one ship in for the day. We pre-made reservations before we arrived and picked up our tickets at the tourist information building, just right outside of the railway. we boarded the train and there was plenty of seating. The views were spectacular!

Jan 3, 2024 · Review of Pikes Peak Cog Railway. Reviewed January 3, 2024 via mobile. A fun adventure! We bought our tickets for a 2p trip up to the summit only a couple of days in advance. The online buying process was easy, with seat assignments, and the instructions for arrival were clear. Parking was easy, so long as you followed the instructions. Fun experience but watch your step. Went to the summit of Pikes Peak on the cog railway. The new trains are very smooth but seats are thin. It was recommended for couples to sit opposite each other for maximum viewing and this worked out well. Sep 25, 2023 · The most difficult thing about taking the cog railway was finding reasonable parking in Manitou Springs and locating the free shuttle. My advice is to go down Manitou Ave. until you find the funny sounding Smischny Lot at $10 for six hrs. The other lots are very expensive. From that lot walk back past the round-about to where the fountain is.
